Nur Jahan Early life and her influence


Begum Nur Jahan (1577-1645) was an Empress In India during Mughal period, & her tomb lies in Lahore Pakistan.

She was famous Empress of Mughal dynasty and wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. As Jahangir was fond of alcohol and opium throughout his life, Nur Jahan was seemingly seen controlling the real affairs of the State. She is rightly called "Power behind Throne". She is known as powerful women who ruled india with iron fist. She was Persian by origin.

It is believed that Nur Jahan was beautiful lady. She was married to Ali Quli Beg, when she was only seventeen. It is important to Mention there that Jahangir was second Husband of Nur Jahan. After her Marriage with Ali Quli the couple was blessed with a daughter namely ladili.

Jahangirs love with Mehrun Nisa did not lessen even after her marriage with sher Afgan. He conspired a conspiracy with qutub-ud-din khan koka, to eliminate sher afgan. Because of Akbar as he was not in favour of his Marriage with Nur Jahan, But salman never forget his love towards Nur Jahan.

Jahangir in his Book "Tuzki Jahangiri" Wrote " I have sold my Kingdom to my Beloved queen for a cup of wine and a dish of soup."
